Ras Al Khaimah emirate is located some 64 kilometers easternmost of the coast of the Arabian Gulf. It has an area of ​​1684 square kilometers. It shares mountainous borders with sultanate of Oman in the south and north east. A number of islands belong to the emirate in the Arabian Gulf waters; most notably, greater Tunb and less Tunb.

Ras Al Khaimah National Museum The present site of the museum was originally a historical fortress dates back to the middle of the eighty century used as residence for ruling families. The Museum exhibits a variety of rare relics and fossils of different historical eras. There are human remnants dating back to 3000BC. It is considered as the richest museum in the UAE with the monuments and antiques.


There are many ancient locations in Ras Al-Khaimah representing the different ancient periods, these are Ubaid Period (3800 – 5000) BC, which is the oldest period in Ras Al-Khaimah is known by till today, Hafit Period (3200 – 3600) BC and Umm Al-Nar Civilization (2000 – 2600) BC which is interacted with Majans Period. There is also Wadi Souk Period (1600 – 2000) BC, Hellenic and Persian Period (632 AD – 300 BC). Then the Abbasy Period (750 – 1250) AD and finally the Islamic Period till today. As you can see Ras Al-Khaimah has gone through many historical periods that left vestiges which are still present, for example, Dhayah Castle, Shiba Palace, Alfalayah in addition to 60 towers in different places.


Ras Al khaimah is known for its rich resources and numerous investment opportunities. Many industries in the emirates have established themselves in the local markets and gained good reputation in the region and worldwide for the quality of their products. The strategic location of Ras Al Khaimah at the approaches to the Arabian Gulf and Middle East on the cross-roads of the international maritime has helped in attracting investments.
