I have collected silver charms for many years now, the big appeal for me was always the fact that I could customize my charm bracelet and make it totally unique to me. I collected lots of charms over the years, some to represent places I'd been, others to represent the things I like, but the hardest ones to find where the ones representing my family.

My family are hugely important to me and as the bracelet was meant to represent me and the things I love then it could never be complete without them. I searched for a long time, finding words, faceless people, sometimes even symbol items and none of them seems to pull at my heart the way my other charms did. When I looked at the ice cream charm I thought of eating ice cream with my husband in Paris, when I looked at the elephant charm I remembered how I loved the zoo as a child but the family charms just did not invoke the memories like the others. They where faceless, bland and void of emotion.

This is one of the reasons that when I decided to start my own business I looked into personalization as a basis. Just as I looked to be unique in my bracelet I believed other people where searching for unique items to represent themselves. Now just to be clear this is not about my business, it's about my bracelet and its evolution into something truly unique.

I love my bracelet so much, it's a silver charm bracelet but unlike any other I've ever seen. I have a charm for every member of my family and on each charm their photos are engraved. I get to carry my photo album on my wrist and keep my family close to me at all times. I tried so hard for so any years to find unique and individual charms to represent them all but in the end I realized it was a lost cause, how could anything mass produced ever be as unique as my family.

That's the reason I feel my bracelet has been an evolution in personalization, their can be nothing else in this world as personal as our very own family photo albums. In the past personalization has been limited to words, we could have our loved ones names engraved on a charm but now with technological advances we can actually engrave their photos.
